High School Summer Sports - High School Summer Boys Soccer Many FHS high school programs run summer sports activities in in June and July. On this page you'll find registration for the sports organizing through Community Programs. You must register your player for each sport they plan to participate in during the summer.Schedules as we know them are included in the activity. These are, of course, subject to change. Contact your coach for any scheduling questions/conflicts and equipment requirements.These programs are open to students entering grades 9-12 who are intending to play sports at Freeport High School. Camp Seaside Puffins - Week 5 Before Care Camp Seaside is a summer day camp based out of Mast Landing School in Freeport. Our day camp is designed to get kids outside and experiencing all that Maine has to offer over the summer vacation months. Campers will go on three to four trips a week in the community and surrounding area. Trips will be to local parks, beaches, and recreation areas. Camp Seaside is divided into two groups based on age: Puffins (entering K-2) and Seals (entering 3-5). Each group will have their own schedule of activities and counselor teams. A detailed schedule of trips will be available before the start of camp. Staff Camp Seaside is made possible by staff that love children and the great outdoors! Staff members work hard to create programming that gets kiddos outside and instills an appreciation for the natural world and our community. All staff attend pre-service training and are certified in First Aid and CPR. Snack & Lunch We provide healthy snacks for kiddos including fruits, veggies, cheese, yogurt, and light snacks. Lunch is to be brought from home and anything that needs to be refrigerated should be packed in a lunch box with ice packs to keep until lunch time. Camp Hours Camp runs from 8:30 am – 3:30 p.m. daily. Teen Treks - Week 5 Fun and adventure are guaranteed in this on-the-go camp for teens. These trips provide an excellent opportunity for teens to get outdoors and enjoy all the wonderful things Maine has to offer in the summer. Each week includes adventurous trips and activities suited for any teen looking to have a memorable summer!Participants must bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, rain gear, shoes that can get wet AND boots or sneakers for hiking, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen to camp each day. On days that do not have featured trips, we will be visiting state parks and beaches. A schedule of events will be posted when available.This year we will offer two Teen Treks Extreme Weeks that include overnight camping. Extreme activities may include canoeing and moose watching near Moosehead Lake, adventure parks, ropes course sessions, and whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. (Our current plan is to do Moose Watch Canoeing on Moosehead Lake for Week 4x, and Whitewater Rafting an Week 6x.)Campers may be dropped off at FHS as early as 8:30 a.m., and must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. Overnight trips (during weeks 4x and 6x) will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible the following day. More information will be sent to participants in regard to the overnight trips. Camp Fees

Top Rockers Hip-Hop and Jazz Dance Camp - Top Rockers Hip-Hop and Jazz Dance Camp Students will learn various styles of hip hop and choreography. Instruction in the fundamentals and vocabulary of hip-hop will help to round out the week. Techniques include: popping, locking, waving, isolation, breaking and tumbling. We will finish out the day with dance games, crafts and other fun activities. An outdoor demonstration on Friday will complete this high energy week. Our two-week theater camp is an exciting, full musical experience of Seussical, The Musical JR. For young performers ages 10–18—whether they’re brand new to the stage or already love performing, lots of fun for everyone. Campers will explore acting, improvisation, voice, movement, and stagecraft in a fun, supportive environment led by experienced theater artists. Through games, workshops, rehearsals, and creative collaboration, students will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills while learning the fundamentals of live theater. The session culminates in a fully staged and produced performance for family and friends, giving every camper a chance to shine on stage. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to be a part of something special! Experience sprints, middle distance, long distance, race walk, javelin, shot-put, discus, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and relay races. With so many events to choose from, there is something for everyone.Here's what the program offers:- Casual and Active: Everyone has other summer commitments and schedules. All practices and meets are optional. However, you get the most work and improvement from regular and active participation. We make every session enjoyable and filled with skill development. We help foster a love for the sport that lasts a lifetime.- Skill development: Our experienced coaches and junior coaches from High School work with all athletes, honing personal fitness, individual event skills, and team sportsmanship.- Inclusive atmosphere: All skill levels are welcome. Teen Treks - Week 6x Fun and adventure are guaranteed in this on-the-go camp for teens. These trips provide an excellent opportunity for teens to get outdoors and enjoy all the wonderful things Maine has to offer in the summer. Each week includes adventurous trips and activities suited for any teen looking to have a memorable summer!Participants must bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, rain gear, shoes that can get wet AND boots or sneakers for hiking, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen to camp each day. On days that do not have featured trips, we will be visiting state parks and beaches. A schedule of events will be posted when available.This year we will offer two Teen Treks Extreme Weeks that include overnight camping. Extreme activities may include canoeing and moose watching near Moosehead Lake, adventure parks, ropes course sessions, and whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. (Our current plan is to do Moose Watch Canoeing on Moosehead Lake for Week 4x, and Whitewater Rafting an Week 6x.)Campers may be dropped off at FHS as early as 8:30 a.m., and must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. Overnight trips (during weeks 4x and 6x) will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible the following day. Experience sprints, middle distance, long distance, race walk, javelin, shot-put, discus, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and relay races. With so many events to choose from, there is something for everyone.Here's what the program offers:- Casual and Active: Everyone has other summer commitments and schedules. All practices and meets are optional. However, you get the most work and improvement from regular and active participation. We make every session enjoyable and filled with skill development. Teen Treks - Week 7 Fun and adventure are guaranteed in this on-the-go camp for teens. These trips provide an excellent opportunity for teens to get outdoors and enjoy all the wonderful things Maine has to offer in the summer. Each week includes adventurous trips and activities suited for any teen looking to have a memorable summer!Participants must bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, rain gear, shoes that can get wet AND boots or sneakers for hiking, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen to camp each day. On days that do not have featured trips, we will be visiting state parks and beaches. A schedule of events will be posted when available.This year we will offer two Teen Treks Extreme Weeks that include overnight camping. Extreme activities may include canoeing and moose watching near Moosehead Lake, adventure parks, ropes course sessions, and whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. (Our current plan is to do Moose Watch Canoeing on Moosehead Lake for Week 4x, and Whitewater Rafting an Week 6x.)Campers may be dropped off at FHS as early as 8:30 a.m., and must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. Overnight trips (during weeks 4x and 6x) will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible the following day. Teen Treks - Week 7 Fun and adventure are guaranteed in this on-the-go camp for teens. These trips provide an excellent opportunity for teens to get outdoors and enjoy all the wonderful things Maine has to offer in the summer. Each week includes adventurous trips and activities suited for any teen looking to have a memorable summer!Participants must bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, rain gear, shoes that can get wet AND boots or sneakers for hiking, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen to camp each day. On days that do not have featured trips, we will be visiting state parks and beaches. A schedule of events will be posted when available.This year we will offer two Teen Treks Extreme Weeks that include overnight camping. Extreme activities may include canoeing and moose watching near Moosehead Lake, adventure parks, ropes course sessions, and whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. (Our current plan is to do Moose Watch Canoeing on Moosehead Lake for Week 4x, and Whitewater Rafting an Week 6x.)Campers may be dropped off at FHS as early as 8:30 a.m., and must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. Overnight trips (during weeks 4x and 6x) will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible the following day. Teen Treks - Week 7 Fun and adventure are guaranteed in this on-the-go camp for teens. These trips provide an excellent opportunity for teens to get outdoors and enjoy all the wonderful things Maine has to offer in the summer. Each week includes adventurous trips and activities suited for any teen looking to have a memorable summer!Participants must bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, rain gear, shoes that can get wet AND boots or sneakers for hiking, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen to camp each day. On days that do not have featured trips, we will be visiting state parks and beaches. A schedule of events will be posted when available.This year we will offer two Teen Treks Extreme Weeks that include overnight camping. Extreme activities may include canoeing and moose watching near Moosehead Lake, adventure parks, ropes course sessions, and whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River. (Our current plan is to do Moose Watch Canoeing on Moosehead Lake for Week 4x, and Whitewater Rafting an Week 6x.)Campers may be dropped off at FHS as early as 8:30 a.m., and must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. Overnight trips (during weeks 4x and 6x) will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible the following day. Camp Seaside is divided into two groups based on age: Puffins (entering K-2) and Seals (entering 3-5). Each group will have their own schedule of activities and counselor teams. A detailed schedule of trips will be available before the start of camp. Staff Camp Seaside is made possible by staff that love children and the great outdoors! Staff members work hard to create programming that gets kiddos outside and instills an appreciation for the natural world and our community. All staff attend pre-service training and are certified in First Aid and CPR. Snack & Lunch We provide healthy snacks for kiddos including fruits, veggies, cheese, yogurt, and light snacks. Lunch is to be brought from home and anything that needs to be refrigerated should be packed in a lunch box with ice packs to keep until lunch time. Camp Hours Camp runs from 8:30 am – 3:30 p.m. daily. Before care runs from from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. and after care runs from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Before and after care are only for children participating in Camp Seaside. Camp Fees
Camp fees include all field trips and special events. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of your total camp fees is due when your child’s registration is confirmed, with an additional 20% of the total cost due by the 20th day of the months of February, March, April and May. Full payment is due before your child is scheduled to attend. Scholarship applications are always welcome.

Junior Chef Camp - August Cooking Join DCS Kitchen Manager and Chef Extraordinaire Deb Koval each morning to learn how to make healthy snacks, meals, and desserts from around the world. Kids will get hands-on experience cooking and baking, while learning about nutrition, math, and culture. Each camper will come home having eaten a lunch they prepared together, and with the skills to help you in the kitchen and help themselves to something delicious!

Youth Basketball Clinics & Open Gym - Girls Summer Skills Sessions (Grades 3-6) On this registration page you will find basketball clinics and open gym sessions that take place during fall, spring or summer. Check back here frequently to see any upcoming opportunities! We will also include any clinics in our virtual newsletters sent at the beginning of each month. Current Programs:Girls Summer Skills Sessions - These sessions are open to girls from RSU5 towns in grades 3-6. They will be led by David Jensen and other RSU5CP Youth Basketball Coaches. The first hour of each session will be dedicated towards skill development and drills. The second hour will be focused on game-like situations and scrimmaging. All players will be grouped by age and/or skill level to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Summer 2026 MS Boys Open Gym (July 19 - Aug 23) - These 6 open gym sessions are open to boys from RSU5 towns in grades 6-8. They will be led by Michael Scheib, and consist of fun games, drills and scrimmages when numbers allow. Please register online - NO DROP INS ALLOWED!Past Programs:Spring/Summer 2026 Youth Open Gym (Jan 11 - Aug 9) - These open gyms will be run by a core group of volunteers involved with our basketball programming. Sessions will take place on Sundays at DCS, and they are open to any player from RSU5 towns in grades K-8. Activities will vary by session, and dependent on the number of players of each age group and their gender. Expect instructional drills, fun games and occasional scrimmages. All players must register below before attending - NO DROP INS ALLOWED.March 2026 Middle School Boys Clinics - This clinic series is open to any Middle School student (6-8th grade) interested in playing in the boys basketball division. Players will practice the basic skills and strategy of the sport in fun drills, games and competitions. Register below to join! NO DROP INS ALLOWED. March 9th, 2025 - Come join us for this fundraiser clinic, where kids will practice the fundamentals of the sport in a fun and interactive environment. All proceeds will be donated to the National CMV Foundation. We will have many coaches involved, including players from the FHS Boys and Girls Basketball teams and coaches from RSU5's Rec Basketball program. The clinic will consist of drills and activities teaching skills and strategy, as well as fun games to bring an element of competition. All players welcome, regardless of skill level or previous experience. At the end of the clinic, each player is welcome to join a pizza party sponsored by Pat's Pizza.
