
In this highly engaging program, participants will attend weekly interactive sessions on topics related to their local government and administration. Each week will have a guest speaker who will present and answer questions about their role in the operations of the municipality. If you reside in Freeport and are interested in learning more about how your town operates, this course is an excellent place to start. Class meets Mondays at 6pm from March 2 through April 13.The schedule has just been finalized!
- Welcome & Government 101 (with town manager and town councilors)
- Community Services (Freeport Community Library and public access TV)
- Administration (town planning and finance)
- Public Services (Public Works and FEDC)
- The School District (with RSU5 superintendent of schools)
- Public Safety (with fire chief and chief of police)
- Committees (with assistant town manager and town councilors)
